doo MCP Server for Event Organizers: Overview of All Tools

The doo MCP Server provides 68 tools (as of October 11, 2026) that enable AI agents to read and modify events, bookings, attendees, contacts, and webhooks within your doo organization. To learn how to set up the MCP Server, see the article Integrating doo with AI Agents (MCP Server).

1. How Agents Work with Tools

When working with AI agents, you do not need to call the tools yourself. Instead, you describe the task in natural language, and the agent selects the appropriate tools automatically, often using several tools in sequence.

Example:
“Show me all bookings for the AI Congress that are still awaiting approval.” The agent identifies the event, filters bookings by the status “Pendig Approval”, and displays the results in the chat.

2. Supported Tools by Area

You may see technical tool names when your AI client requests confirmation before performing an action. The tables below help you understand these requests.

The tools are organized according to the categories in our help center, where you can also find detailed instructions for working with the corresponding functionality in doo.

3. Limitations and Notes

3.1. What Is Currently Not Possible

  1. Events cannot be created completely from scratch. They can only be created from a template or as a copy of an existing event. If you would like event templates with predefined settings for different event formats, please contact your doo representative.
  2. Contacts can currently be updated, but not created or deleted.
  3. Paid products can only be added when creating a new booking. Afterwards, only free products can be added.
  4. File fields and dropdown contact fields cannot currently be populated by the agent.
  5. Invitations and other email campaigns cannot currently be sent by the agent.
  6. Webhooks using OAuth authorization are configured by doo Support.
  7. There is no dedicated reporting tool. Reports are generated by the agent using search results or GraphQL queries.

3.2. Data Protection

Data retrieved via the MCP Server is processed by your AI platform, such as Microsoft Copilot or Claude. Before using the MCP Server, ensure that the platform is approved within your organization for processing personal attendee data.

Information about logging and user contexts can be found in section 5 of the article Integrating doo with AI Agents (MCP Server).

3.3. Version Information

This overview reflects the functionality available as of October 11, 2026. We continuously expand the MCP Server capabilities and update this article accordingly.
